The Problem

By the end of 2022, all DPC providers seeing children for well child checks will be universally screening with a validated behavioral health tool in order to receive reimbursement. The current process for primary care provider assessment of a new behavioral health concern is inconsistent, labor intensive and inefficient.

Our Solution

Our innovation will solve this problem by automating the use of validated questionnaires to streamline behavioral health follow up and improve operational efficiency.

Anticipated Impact

Our innovation will prevent the thousands of elementary age children soon to be identified with universal behavioral health screening each year from receiving inappropriate or inadequate follow up. Additionally, our innovation will prevent our current behavioral health system from breaking under the weight of unnecessary referrals. Most importantly our innovation will allow primary care providers to find joy in their work by appropriately and efficiently connecting kids to care.
