DIHI Scholar
Tim is a third-year medical student at Duke University and a current DIHI scholar primarily working on the “Building a Predictive Model for Survival AfterLung Transplantation” project. Before moving to Durham, Tim spent his gap year at the New York State Psychiatric Institute at Columbia University exploring predictive models for sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), autism, and fetal alcohol syndrome in the early fetal and neonatal periods. Since then, he has become passionate about the intersection between machine learning and healthcare. Tim is also interested in global health, health equity, and mental health. In his free time, he loves playing soccer, exploring the beautiful nature of North Carolina, and watching exciting superhero films/shows. Thanks to long hospital days, Tim is becoming an avid coffee drinker –with plenty of milk and sugar, of course, coffee is bitter!
