DIHI Scholar

Julia is a DIHI Scholar and 3rd year medical student at Duke within the Primary Care Leadership Track. Aligning with her interests in internal medicine and geriatrics, Julia’s primary project at DIHI focuses on telehealth videoconferences to improve the transition of care from hospital to skilled nursing facility. 

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Julia has been “Forever Duke” since 2012. After completing her undergraduate work at Duke University, she was a Duke Chapel Pathways Fellow and interned at Duke Connected Care and the Population Health Management Office where she assisted with various projects on healthcare delivery and quality metrics within the ACO.

Julia is passionate about Durham dining and believes that Southern Pecan coffee from Southern Seasons is truly life-changing.
