DIHI Scholar

Hayley is a third-year medical student at Duke and a 2021-22 DIHI scholar. Her primary project is A Geriatric-Specific Morbidity and Mortality Risk Stratification Tool (GEMMSTOR) for Older Surgical Adults. As an aspiring urologist, Hayley is interested in improving outcomes and addressing disparities amongst surgical patients. Although originally from Winston-Salem (a.k.a. the birthplace of Krispy Kreme), Hayley completed her undergraduate education at Christopher Newport University, where she studied Neuroscience and Leadership. In her free time, she enjoys making pottery, building miniatures, and spending time with her dogs around downtown Durham.
