Alex Fenn

DIHI Scholar

Alex is a third-year Duke medical student and DIHI scholar primarily working on the 2019-2020 RFA project ‘Using Machine Learning in Emergency Department Patient Flow.’ Alex is planning on applying to Emergency Medicine residency programs in the not-so-distant future. Before joining DIHI and starting medical school, Alex taught third grade for three years in Denver, Colorado. His 10-year career plan is nebulous, but currently involves medical education and wilderness medicine.

In his free time, Alex enjoys run commuting to/from the DIHI office, running long distances when he isn’t in the office, cooking and baking, and backpacking. Alex enjoys coffee from Sweet Bloom, a roaster in his native state of Colorado.
